With a little over nine weeks until the biggest sports show on the planet returns, spectators will be able to tune into the action from Paris at Fanzones across the UK.
Each Fanzone will open on July 26 in time for the opening ceremony, running until the day of the closing ceremony on August 11. The athletics schedule begins on August 1.
Fans can enjoy live DJ sets, the chance to try their hand at Olympic-themed activities, plus a programme of onstage entertainment, including Q&As and medal celebrations with Team GB’s returning athletes.
The first nine Fanzones have been announced and span seven cities across Scotland and England.
The are: Battersea Power Station, London; Cabot Circus, Bristol; Grosvenor Square, London; King’s Cross (Lewis Cubitt Square), London; Liverpool ONE; Rotunda Square, Birmingham; Spinningfields, Manchester; St James Quarter, Edinburgh; and Westquay, Southampton.
Over 300 Team GB athletes will be competing at the Olympics, with around half a million British fans expected to travel to France to support them.
So far, seven athletics stars – six in the marathon and one over 10,000m – have secured their place on the team.
Emile Cairess, Phil Sesemann and Mahamed Mahamed are the trio in the men’s marathon while Charlotte Purdue, Calli Hauger-Thackery and Rose Harvey make up the women’s field over 26.2 miles.
Megan Keith will also represent Team GB in the 10,000m after winning at Night of the 10,000m PBs, which doubled up as the British Olympic trials over the distance. The Scot needed to finish as one of the top two Brits, having already run below the qualifying standard of 30:40.00 with 30:36.84 in California.
Most of the athletics action at Paris 2024 will take place at the Stade de France but the marathons and race walks will of course take place in the city itself.
The campaign is also appearing across Ocean’s wider OOH network on 113 screens in six cites (London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Derby, Birmingham, Glasgow and Southampton).
ParalympicsGB CEO David Clarke said: “It’s fantastic that we can celebrate 100 days to go to the Paralympic Games by working together with Ocean Outdoor to shine a light on our amazing Paralympians and Paralympic hopefuls at such landmark locations, right across the UK. The countdown to Paris 2024 is in full swing and I look forward to seeing ParalympicsGB’s athletes line up in Paris this summer.”
